Vietnamese Northern Provinces Tourism Association Cluster Conducts Tourism Development Survey in Guangxi, China

To enhance cooperation and tourism development, from May 16 to May 19, 2024, the Vietnamese Northern Provinces Tourism Association Cluster (including Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Vinh Phuc, and Bac Kan) organized a Famtrip to Guangxi Province, China.

During the trip, the delegation held meetings and discussions with the Department of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism of Nanning City, Guangxi Province. Both sides exchanged information on tourism development and introduced distinctive tourism products. They also discussed common concerns such as entry and exit procedures, organizing and transporting passengers, and the psychology, preferences, and needs of tourists. Issues regarding cooperation in human resource training and tourism promotion were also addressed. During the discussions, tourism businesses from both sides frankly exchanged views on mutual concerns and expressed a desire for closer, more frequent, and effective cooperation.

Over three days in Guangxi, the Famtrip delegation from the Vietnamese Northern Provinces Tourism Association Cluster visited and experienced major attractions in Guangxi Province such as Qingxiu Mountain Park, Guanyin Temple, Yulong Tower, ASEAN Friendship Garden, and Taiping Ancient Town. Notably, on the morning of May 19, 2024, coinciding with the 134th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, the delegation visited Guangxi University and the Central Campus (Nam Ninh Dục Tài School), which has trained many talents for Vietnam.

Through this Famtrip program, the Vietnamese Northern Provinces Tourism Association Cluster aims to further strengthen relationships and extensive cooperation with tourism businesses in Guangxi. The goal is to promote professional tourism activities among local enterprises, mutually advertise tourism resources, destinations, and services. Additionally, the program seeks to boost tourist exchanges between the two sides and enhance cultural and tourism promotion activities between Vietnam and China, attracting more people to travel.

The Famtrip has yielded positive results, opening up numerous new cooperation opportunities in the tourism sector between the northern provinces of Vietnam and Guangxi Province, China.
